Together, Katherine and Jigisha articulate their disruptive ethos in the Authority Collective interview, emphasizing the need for genuine diversity and representation throughout the production process, not just in front of the camera. Their model at Rise aims to provide alternative pathways for artists, fostering financial and creative equity while challenging industry norms. Reflecting on their journeys, both share anecdotes that underscore the importance of understanding diverse perspectives and maintaining resilience in the face of challenges. Mentors like Jay Chiat and Laurie Coots instilled in them the value of boldness and creative integrity, shaping their approach to leadership.

When discussing disruption, Katherine emphasizes the importance of genuine intention and positive change, cautioning against perfunctory gestures that merely "check the box." They both advocate for a culture where disruption leads to meaningful progress and inclusion.

Looking ahead, Rise plans to continue shaking up the industry by prioritizing inclusivity at every level, from talent representation to business operations. Initiatives like the Rise Dinner Table and a residency program aim to foster collaboration and accessibility within the creative community. Addressing the unique challenges faced by women disruptors, Katherine and Jigisha highlight the need to challenge stereotypes and advocate for inclusivity. They believe in leveraging their influence to create a movement that amplifies diverse voices and empowers storytellers from all backgrounds.

Their favorite life lessons, drawn from iconic figures like Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Maya Angelou, encapsulate their commitment to fighting for what matters and rising above adversity.
